The kit offers high accuracy in the high-interest range of slightly acidic to slightly alkaline (6.8 to 8.4), thanks to the mixed indicator, which, in this range, shows strong differences in color (from yellow to violet through orange and red) and therefore allows even small differences in pH to be appreciated with some accuracy.
Better accuracy can be achieved by resorting to an electric pH meter of good brand name.
