IPT Iron
Code 1016
Analysis Type Iron
Analysis Method

1.10-phenanthroline

Sensitivity

0,05 ppm Fe

Optimal Measurement Range

Range A, 5 ml: 0,25 - 0,5 - 1,0 - 2,0 - 5,0 - 7,5 – 10 - 15 ppm Fe
Range B, 20 ml: 0,05 – 010 - 0,15 - 0,20 ppm Fe

Number of Determinations

100 (with 0,25 – 15 ppm color scale)

Analysis Description

Determination of bivalent and trivalent iron dissolved in water. This is the determination of total iron dissolved in water, meaning that non-dissolved iron, present for example in the form of rust flakes, is not determined unless it has first been dissolved by boiling with acid.

Kit Contents

- 1 bottle 25ml reagent Iron A
- 2 test tube 20ml with one stopper
- 1 color scale 0,25-15 ppm
- 1 color scale 0,05-0,2 ppm
- comparator
- Instructions (English)

Observations

- The 0.25-15 ppm colour scale is used with a 5 ml sample. For greater sensitivity, the 0.05-2 ppm colour scale is used on 20 ml (increasing the number of reagent drops in proportion)
- IPT kits are ideal where only a few analyses are required, with moderate precision.
For many analyses and high accuracy we recommend HYDROCHECKs, which also offer a lower cost per analysis.

Spare Parts and Accessories

- reagent A
- 6 vials of 25cc (Code No. 3211)
- 12 10cc tubes (Code No. 3312)
- 10 20cc tubes (Code No. 3310)
- 1 color scale 0,25-15 ppm (Code No. 3407)
- 1 color scale 0,05-0,2 ppm (Code No. 3407.1)
