Measurement of the intensity of the orange-red coloration of ferric sulphocyanide formed as a result of the reaction of mercury sulphocyanide with chlorides in the water to be analyzed, in the presence of an iron salt.

Observations

- IPT kits are ideal when few analyses are needed, with fair accuracy. For many analyses and higher precision, we recommend the HYDROCHECK kits, which also offer a lower cost per analysis.
- This kit allows to determine both total and free chlorine. The difference between those two corresponds to combined chlorine (generally in the form of chloramine)
