Observations

- With the classical method, even samples containing hydrazine show a slight yellow tint. With our modified method, samples without hydrazine remain colourless. Therefore, a slight yellow colouration detected with our method corresponds to the actual presence of traces of hydrazine.
- HYDROCHECK SPECTRATEST kits require the use of a photometer, such as the HC6000, and allow many precise analyses at a very low cost per analysis. HYDROCHECK MONOTEST kits are preferred for their greater convenience and safety of use. The cost per analysis of the MONOTEST kits is higher, but the analysis is simpler, as the samples to be analysed are placed in optical glass tubes containing the pre-dosed reagents and used directly in the appropriate photometers. MONOTEST kits are especially recommended when there are only a few analyses to be performed. As far as the photometer is concerned, it is preferable to use a spectrophotometer such as the Hydrocheck or Spectronic Genesys, as filter photometers give less reliable and accurate results and always require the construction of a calibration curve.
