Observations

- This classic method is widely used in all cases where a particularly high sensitivity is not required, for which the ferro low method is recommended.
- HYDROCHECK MONOTEST kits require the use of a photometer. Although they cost more per analysis than SPECTRATESTs, MONOTESTs are becoming increasingly popular due to their high precision, reliability and safety of use.
Furthermore, the analysis is simpler with MONOTESTs, as the samples to be examined are introduced into optical glass tubes containing the pre-dosed reagents and can be used directly in any photometer capable of accepting 16 mm diameter round tubes, such as Hydrocheck or Spectronic Genesys spectrophotometers.
The SPECTRATEST kits, which offer a significantly lower cost per analysis, are recommended when it is necessary to perform many analyses, which are repeated frequently.
As far as the photometer is concerned, it is advisable to use a spectrophotometer such as the Hydrocheck or Spectronic Genesys, as filter photometers give less reliable and accurate results and require the construction of a calibration curve.
