- In the field of water purification, nitrates are often referred to as ‘nitrate nitrogen’, nitrites as ‘nitrous nitrogen’ and ammonia as ‘ammoniacal nitrogen’, but concentrations are generally expressed as NO3 for nitrates, NO2 for nitrites and NH3 for ammonia.
- The optical comparator contained in the package enables the colour comparison between two test tubes containing the same amount of water, which is an advantage in terms of accuracy.
- HYDROCHECK kits (which can be purchased directly) enable many precise analyses to be carried out at a very low cost per analysis. If precision is not particularly important and the analyses to be carried out are few in number, it may be worthwhile using DROPS kits, which cost considerably less per package (to be purchased through dealers).
