HCK Colortest Iron Low

HCK Colortest Iron Low

Code 6113
Analysis Type Iron
Analysis Method

Measurement of the color intensity of the violet complex formed by the reaction of Iron, previously reduced with Triazine.

Sensitivity

0,010 – 0,025 – 0,05 – 0,10 – 0,25 – 0,50 ppm Fe

Number of Available Analyses

100

Analysis Description

Determination of bivalent and trivalent iron dissolved in water. This is the determination of total iron dissolved in water, meaning that non-dissolved iron, present for example in the form of rust flakes, is not determined unless it has first been dissolved by boiling with acid.

Ideal for Water

purified, wastewater and thermal circuits

Kit Contents

• 1 bottle of 25 ml of reagent A
• 2 bottles of 35 ml of reagent B
• 1 syringe of 5 ml
• 2 test tubes of 20 ml with stopper
• 1 optical comparator
• 1 chromatic scale
• instructions (English)

Observations

- This method is widely used in all those cases where a particularly high sensitivity is required.
- The optical comparator contained in the package enables a colour comparison between two test tubes containing the same amount of water, with the advantage of precision.
- The HYDROCHECK kits (which can be purchased directly) enable many precise analyses to be carried out at a very low cost per analysis. If precision is not particularly important and the analyses to be carried out are few in number, it may be worthwhile using DROPS kits, which cost considerably less per package (to be purchased through dealers).
